Hugo has been busy as a copywriter for advertising agencies and video games. Fascinated by cinema, arts, entertainment and, of course, writing, most of his time is devoted to his artistic passions. With a background in film studies, psychology, marketing and video game design, Hugo is able to navigate between narrative, screenwriting or editorial writing, to advertising or web writing, with a sound grasp of “consumer/spectator” behaviours.
While he enjoys working with reputable client such as Audi, BMO, Interac, Unilever, and McCain, Hugo prefers the smaller projects that appeal to his creative side. His adventurous nature eventually led him from the agency world to travel solo for six months across the United States, which convinced him to follow a more independent career path. Upon his return to Montreal, he took on a number of individual artistic projects, while fulfilling occasional work mandates.
